With this alliance Inteligensa becomes the first Latin American company in achieving an agreement of this type with a world leader company in supplies of solutions for financial cards, both of instantaneous and centralized emissions.
Thanks to this agreement, called “Hosted Solution Provider”, Inteligensa and Entrust DataCard become business partners, thus combining the use of DataCard equipment and the Inteligensa know-how.
Luis Antonio Vargas, EMV Manager of Inteligensa, notes that the first phase of the agreement is been developed with an important Mexican bank, in its distribution centers of San Pedro Sula (Honduras) and Lima (Peru); and it consists in the local and centralized personalization of cards. This phase will last 3 years, with the possibility of being extended for more time.
According to Vargas, the implementation of the agreement includes the establishment of personalization equipment in the regional centers of the bank, which guarantees an adequate migration to EMV chip.
In the case of other customers that already have chip cards, the solution allows the instant emission of the card, namely, when the customer arrives to the bank to apply for his/her card, he/she can take it personalized at that moment, which makes possible for the bank to offer a more efficient service, with no waiting times for its customers.
In the phase that is currently developed in the aforementioned bank, Entrust DataCard provides the equipment and software for personalization, while Inteligensa is responsible for the installation and the execution of the personalization and fullfilment process, through its own personnel.
Inteligensa and Entrust DataCard have auspicious expectations on this agreement, mainly because of the advantages that they represent for the customers of banks. It is expected that in a second phase the agreement will be executed in other countries.
Inteligensa is a leading company in the design and implementation of identification and payment systems, with 28 years of experience in the international market. Inteligensa has been a protagonist in the EMV Chip migration process in Latin America, having migrated more than 200 cards to EMV Chip in the region.
Entrust DataCard offers technologies for secure transactions and identity-based secure solutions, which guarantees the security of services such as e-government, shopping and access to corporative networks. Its solutions range from financial cards, passports and ID cards to digital devices (authentication, secure communications and certificates).
