Inteligensa, a company widely known in the world of payments systems, has become into a questionless leader in the area of mass transit of Latin America by reaching the number of 21 millions of contactless cards which have been sold for the payment of that service.

This company, a 100% mexican, participates from October 13 to 15 in the X International Conference for the Sustainable Transport which takes place in the World Trade Center of Mexico City, where it will show to the assistants the most innovates technology of payment devices for massive transport.

Omar Pelcastre, Commercial Director of Inteligensa Mexico, notes that the company has participated in a great number of projects in Latin America through the provision of payment devices and in that sense he mentioned some of them such as the Mexico City Public Transport System (STCM), the Caracas-Charallave-Cúa Railroad of Venezuela and the cards for student payment of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.

This is a very simple, comfortable and fast technology for the user, because through a small card in banking card format, designed and elaborated by Inteligensa, and also a small device called i-Thing, which comes either as a key fob or as an adhesive backed label suitable for sticking to a cellphone, they are waved close to a small reader device in the bus and in that way the fare payment is validated.

Pelcastre highlights the importance of this type of electronics payments in the big cities of Latin America, because they contribute to a better quality of life, thus offering comfort and security to the users.
