PaymentMedia interviews Venanzio Cipollitti, CEO of Inteligensa Group.

PaymentMedia, a prestigious magazine specialized in payment instruments and the most read in its field in Latin America, interviewed Venanzio Cipollitti, CEO of Inteligensa Group, at the end of 2015. In the interview different themes were considered such as the development of the business of Inteligensa, the implementation of new technologies, entry in new markets and the new projects of the company.

Cipollitti referred to the business of the card as a payment instrument, highlighting his satisfaction for the results of Inteligensa, even though some countries like Venezuela and Brazil have recently experienced great economic difficulties, which are very important markets for the company. However, he notes that Latin America is a very dynamic and varied region and that it´s important to know very well the region, such as Inteligensa does, who has more than 25 years in many Latin American countries.

He also referred to the success of new technologies such as contactless, particularly in the field of public transport, and to the new products developed by Inteligensa with that technology, such as the Dual Interface Card, that combines two technologies, contact and contactless, in addition to an antenna.

With regard to the mPOS, Cipollitti said that although it is a fascinating technology, much remains to be done, and there are additionally the costs, because while the mPOS is based on a cellphone whose price is 500 – 700 US$, the traditional POS is approximately US$ 200.

Finally the CEO of Inteligensa highlighted the strengths of the company, having overcome different crises in the Latin American region and as a conclusion he said that Inteligensa will keep growing and for that purpose there are plans of becoming partners of high tech companies and capital.
