EMV chip technology is guarantee of security

In the world of payment instruments, security has become, with no doubt, the most important element for all the participants in the industry but mainly for cardholders or customers, who are the direct victims of frauds.

Nowadays companies in the payment sector develop technologies to ensure effective levels of security that protect both banks in their condition of issuers and bank customers.

Venanzio Cipollitti, President of the Inteligensa Group, notes that the EMV chip cards strengthen the security of the transactions since the information is contained in the chip, which is practically a microprocessor that encrypts the information and ensure its inviolability, thus becoming the solution in the fight against fraud.

Cipollitti adds that these cards generate a unique code and data for each transaction, so they can´t be duplicated or cloned.

On the other hand, EMV refers to a global payment standard (Europay, MasterCard, Visa), that allows the interoperability of cards in different payment networks of the world.

Inteligensa, as a leader in payment systems, has developed an important experience in EMV chip migration in Latin America, assuming the leadership of that process in the region by having migrating more than 200 million cards to that technology.
